No detector can guarantee that. Compression, editing and new generation methods can cause errors, so the result should be combined with provenance, source and independent identity checks.
Can I use this checker during a live video call?
This checker analyzes uploaded files; it does not monitor a live call. If you have a recording you are entitled to process, check that file and verify the request through contact details you already trust.
Is a deepfake the same as any AI-generated image or video?
No. Deepfakes usually imitate or manipulate a real person's face or voice, while AI-generated media is a broader category. The checker separates specialist media signals where the format supports them.
